Slipknot – Hatebreed | US Cellular Center

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (May 9, 2015) – Fantastic show presented by US Cellular center staff, the much awaited return of Slipknot to an Iowa stage.

Josh McCoy (a long time fan) writes:

Hatebreed was the opening  act, and from beginning to end they never let up for one second. They sounded raw and unchained. The guitars, drums, bass, vocals were all perfect. The entire band had great stage presence.  Jamie was all over the stage and very energetic. They did a great job getting the crowd fired up and ready for the headliner.

Slipknot took the stage it was a totally different experience. All I can say is wow!!! Excellent set, great lighting/pyrotechnics and their performance was spot on. Everything was perfectly in tune, performed flawlessly, and exciting to watch. Corey Taylor is in my opinion, one of the best front men in rock today. He had the crowd going, great rapport, and just rocked on. The percussionists on the rotating platforms were a great spectacle too.

Slipknot hit almost all of the top songs from their back catalog plus most of the best from the Gray Chapter. The encore which included “People = Shit” at the end just made it all better! This was not my first time seeing Slipknot but this definitely won’t be my last.
