Foreigner with Special Guests Washington High School Choir | Riverside Casino

By

RIVERSIDE, Iowa (September 28,2013) — Yeah that’s right, Foreigner. Formed in 1976 by Mick Jones with Ian McDonald and Lou Gramm pulling together 3 English and 3 American musicians making at least half of the band “Foreigners” no matter where they played. 37 years and 75 million albums sold later, Kelly Hansen (the 4th lead singer of Foreigner) led the most recent configuration of Foreigner in entertaining the sold out Riverside Casino crowd. Mick Jones did not perform.

I’d have you consider checking out this HOOPLA concert review for more on the set. The highlight of the evening was when Hansen and crew invited members of the Washington High School Choir to join them on stage in a performance of “I Want to Know What Love Is”. Honestly, I was totally surprised at how many of the lyrics I knew to all the songs in their set. Guess that’s what growing up in the 70’s with three big sisters in the house will do to a guy!
