Cedar Rapids, Iowa (August 3, 2013) This year’s 2000 plus crowd marked the twentieth annual Bluesmore festival held on the historic Brucemore lawn. Celebrating this milestone meant a lineup worthy of the occasion. Organizers put together a remarkable triple bill which in reality it was more of a “how many talented musicians can each band have.”
Ron DeWitte, Eric Douglas, Craig Erickson, Tom “T-Bone” Giblin, BillyLee Janey, Bryce Janey, Dan “DJ” Johnson, Denny Ketelsen, Skeeter Lewis and Dennis “Daddy-O” McMurrin.
Former Buddy Guy guitarist, Scott Holt, delivered the goods with his smokin originals neatly wedged between blues staples as well as a brilliant nod to his Tennessee country roots. Link to Photos of Scott Holt Band
Blues prodigy Lucky Peterson headlined Bluesmore accompanied by his wife Tamara Peterson. Guitarist Shawn Kellerman began taking everyone by surprise with his superb playing and unbridled enthusiasm. Lucky followed suite taking it to the next level.
